Thanks for your feedback. That's interesting. The printer is the HP Officejet Pro A and it's wireless. My Window's build is I'm only interested in the driver-only installation, microsoft driver downloads. Hp only supply the full installation as a download but there are selection options for the drivers-only.
I am concerned that the HP drivers are not recognised by Win If they were microsoft driver downloads the warning would not appear. I have noticed a lot of software errors coming out of HP lately and I wouldn't put it past them to provide a faulty download. Once, I asked the troubleshooter to install the drivers and I got an additional printer device which confused me.
